Show me the METAL!
i hate contemporary rock/metal. it seems like it all sucks uber cock. i like old rock like Queen, Pink Floyd, CCR, KISS, Van Halen (roth era) Led Zep, GnR, Iggy Pop, anyways, you get the picture...
as for metal: black sabbath, megadeth, iron maiden, blah blah blah. i'll get to the point, any of you homos like the new rock/metal? i just checked out Mastodon and Iced Earth on youtube... i need newish stuff like that. none of you fuckholes had better waste my time with Korn or HIM or Slipknot or any of that pussy numetal. suggest stuff that has some balls and isn't some manufactured shit like Evanescence or Nickelback. ok this iced earth is pretty sweet, first min and a half is kinda gay.

I downloaded Whitesnakes live DVD and it's the best live performance I've seen. While a lot of their songs have that oooh baby shit going on the guitar work is phenomenal. Doug Aldrich knows how to play a guitar as well as Reb Beach.

try some Kiuas, Hibria, or Lost Horizon for starters. they're mostly the same subject matter as Iced Earth. same style of modern power metal.

you might like kamelot, listen to ghost opera or march of the mephisto. some of there stuff gets pretty symphonic so you might not like that. theres also blind guardian, hammerfall, candle mass mabye. im not really a heavy metal kind of guy.

Seeing as how you know your own tastes better than anyone I would suggest you do the work of exploring the different sub genres metal has yourself.. There's no real connection to the music when some unknown sends you a youtube link. When you discover a band yourself, listening to them becomes all the more powerful.
