I didn't notice the reference to dexter, however did you catch the joke they made about mainstream media? There was a part in the Newspaper office, about having some extra space in the paper, and how they couldn't fit Omar's murder into that space. In the following scene Bunk asks Mcnolty(sic) if he still reads newspapers, in regards to the fact Mcnolty isn't aware of Omars death. I thought it was a very intelligent jab at the media. One that most people seemed to not notice.

Yeah, good episode, was losing faith to be honest. Nice Dexter reference. Really interested to see what's going to happen to Mike now, presume he can either leave Baltimore, or go for Marlo. The prosecution will be fucked if the mayor does not push it through (which might happen, they could feasibly sweep what Jimmy has done under the carpet - Daniels surprises me, with his past I'm very surprised he seems keen to turn on Jimmy). Was nice seeing Freamon getting the dirt from Clay too - strange bedfellowes!

I downloaded a few seasons after looking at this thread. I'm on season 3 now. It's a pretty damn good show. It took me until around episode 3 of first season until I was into it.

Worst theme song ever though.

Im miserable, its over. It ended on a oddly positive note. I was happy that Daniels left before he got dirty. I was happy to see Stanfield as a conflicted bank. I was even happy as Freamon as a grumpy old man. Bubbles on the dining table, very sweet.

Fucking shitty show, why David Simon, whyyyyyyyyyy.

Episode 10 was pretty much like the rest of season 5, pretty shit all round. Was nice to see Slim Charles take out Cheese - but that was it.
